Something to ponder

Something to ponder when buying onboard cameras...

When buying camera kits ask yourself this?

Check out what other people offer for the money and then check back here!

Check the camera spec - Often cameras are offered that have a poor resolution i.e. 380tv lines and normally come with a poor sensor. always go for a camera with at least 420/480 or 520 tv lines resolution and a CCD digitally processed sensor. CMOS is analogue in my opinion is very poor and we wouldn't even sell these.

Our cameras use SONY or Sharp CCD (Sensors) which are regarded by all the main UK and US CCTV distributors as the best in the business.

Does the kit come with an adequate mount?

Does the kit just come with a battery pack? is a car adaptor an optional extra?

Our car kits come with a fused car adaptor.

All our kits come with suction mounts - Our car kits come with a heavy duty steel suction mount that fastens to the inside of the windscreen.

When you add the kits to the checkout you may find VAT is added to the final bill.

Our prices are inclusive and the only extra you pay is P&P

Does it have a carry case?

Ours come with a heavy duty foam filled carry case.

So in a nutshell.

1. Check if the cam is CMOS or CCD

2. Check the resolution i.e. 380 420 or 480 TV lines

3. Who makes the CCD? Sony are regarded as the best.

4. Does it come with a suitable mount?

5. Does it have a carry case.

6. Check if the price includes VAT.
